A Man in His 40s Dies After Being Crushed by 500kg Construction Materials at Haman Yard
At around 9:40 a.m. on the 26th, a man in his 40s died after being crushed by construction materials at a company's storage yard in Chilwon-eup, Haman-gun, Gyeongnam.
According to the Haman Police Station, the deceased, Mr. A, was organizing construction materials in the storage yard when he was crushed by a bundle of plastic plywood weighing approximately 500 kg, which was stacked 3 meters high.
Mr. A was struck in the chest area and was transported to the hospital following a report by a colleague, but he died during treatment.
The workplace employs fewer than 50 workers regularly, so the Serious Accidents Punishment Act does not apply.
