Korea Railroad Selected as 'Green Product of the Year' for 12 Consecutive Years... "First Public Institution"
Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) has set a record by being selected as the ‘Green Product of the Year’ for 12 consecutive years. This is the first case among public institutions.
KORAIL announced on the 26th that the Donghae Line KTX was selected as the ‘2023 Korea Green Product of the Year.’

The Donghae Line KTX was selected as the Green Product of the Year after receiving excellent evaluations in areas such as ▲environmental friendliness ▲product quality ▲safety ▲convenience ▲customer accessibility.
Previously, KORAIL had been selected as the Green Product of the Year with ▲2012 ‘Gyeongbu Line KTX’ ▲2013 ‘ITX-Cheongchun’ ▲2014 ‘Nuriro’ ▲2015 ‘O-train’ ▲2016 ‘S-train’ ▲2017 ‘ITX-Saemaeul’ ▲2018 ‘V-train’ ▲2019 ‘Honam Line KTX-Sancheon’ ▲2020 ‘Gangneung Line KTX-Sancheon’ ▲2021 ‘Jungang Line KTX-Eum’ ▲2022 ‘Jungbu Naeryuk Line KTX-Eum.’
Han Moon-hee, President of KORAIL, said, “KORAIL will continue to expand eco-friendly trains and strive to save energy, becoming a public enterprise leading carbon neutrality.”
Meanwhile, the Green Product of the Year is selected through direct evaluations by 36 environmental organizations and over 600 consumer evaluators on the environmental improvement effects of products.
