Yeonggwang-gun Conducts Online Voting for 'Exemplary Proactive Administration Cases' by Residents
Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kang Jong-man) announced on the 25th that from the 14th to the 18th of next month, an online public voting will be held for the selection of the "2023 First Half Active Administration Best Practices."
Unlike previous selections of active administration best practices (public officials), which were chosen through internal staff voting and deliberation and resolution by the Active Administration Committee, this year an online vote for residents has been newly introduced to directly hear the voices of the citizens.
This new online voting for active administration by residents was established to create policies that citizens can feel and to enhance the practical effects of active administration.
To participate in the online voting, residents can access the county office website, go to Open County Administration - Participation Square - Survey section, select "2023 First Half Active Administration Best Practices Resident Vote," and assign scores to each posted active administration case.
To ensure fairness and transparency, the online voting by residents will be conducted without displaying the names of the persons in charge, showing only the active administration cases.
The county plans to select the final five cases as best practices and outstanding public officials through the newly established resident voting results and the Yeonggwang-gun Active Administration Committee's evaluation.
Governor Kang Jong-man said, "By allowing residents to directly participate in the selection of Yeonggwang-gun's active administration best practices (public officials), we will enhance fairness and always listen to the opinions of residents to create a proactive and innovative public service community."
