Bestsellers Online... Hanwha Life Launches 'e-Signature Cancer Insurance'
Direct Design of Desired Coverage
Relatively Affordable Without Going Through an Agent
Hanwha Life Insurance will also sell its flagship product, Signature Cancer Insurance, online.
On the 25th, Hanwha Life announced the launch of the online-exclusive 'e-Signature Cancer Insurance.' This product allows customers to directly subscribe to the flagship product 'Signature Cancer Insurance,' which has sold over 350,000 policies since its launch in April last year.
The online-exclusive product also has its own advantages. Unlike the existing main contract and special contract structure, it was launched as a 'modular' product that allows customers to choose the product that suits them. Since customers subscribe directly without going through an agent, an intuitive user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) have been prepared.
The product offers several options: the ‘Non-renewable type’ that covers everything from diagnosis to surgery and chemotherapy without premium increases; the ‘All-care type’ that covers the entire process from examination, diagnosis, surgery, treatment, to prognosis; the ‘Surgery-focused type’ which includes modules centered on surgery including new medical technologies; and the ‘Women-tailored type’ that focuses on breast cancer and thyroid cancer for women. Coverage is freely selectable and categorized into nine types: general cancer, similar cancers, high-cost cancers, and site-specific cancers.
The ‘premium waiver system during the exclusion period,’ a key advantage of Signature Cancer Insurance, has also been applied for the first time in an online-exclusive product. This system exempts premium payments for certain coverages for 90 days.
The eligible subscription age is from 19 to 60 years old. Since customers subscribe directly online, the premiums are relatively affordable. For a 40-year-old, 20-year payment term, 80-year maturity, non-smoking, non-renewable practical plan (maximum KRW 30 million for cancer diagnosis, maximum KRW 30 million for high-cost cancer diagnosis, maximum KRW 4 million for cancer surgery), the monthly premium is KRW 32,407 for men and KRW 26,000 for women. Subscription is available on the 'Hanwha Life Direct Insurance' website.
