Gyeongbuk Office of Education Provides 10 Million Won Support to 14 Students Struggling Academically Due to Heavy Rainfall
"Support Until School Return"
On the 24th, the Gyeongbuk Office of Education announced that it will provide 10 million KRW in emergency welfare support funds through Education Welfare 119 to students experiencing difficulties in normal academic activities due to heavy rain damage.
To support students affected by the recent heavy rains, from the 18th to the 20th, nine families comprising 14 students were selected as priority recipients through school principal recommendations.
The selected students will receive emergency welfare support funds of up to 1.2 million KRW per household, varying according to the extent of the damage.
The Gyeongbuk Office of Education plans to continuously support affected students by accepting school applications until the heavy rain damage situation is resolved, starting with this proactive support given the emergency circumstances.
