Up to 50,000 KRW Monthly Support for Seoul Bus Fares for Disabled Persons Aged 6 and Over with Seoul Address
From July 24, Applications Available Anytime at Nearby Community Service Centers or the ‘Seoul Disabled Bus Fare Support’ Website
Yangcheon-gu (Mayor Lee Gijae) announced that starting July 24, it will accept year-round applications for the Seoul Disabled Bus Fare Support program to expand mobility rights for disabled persons and contribute to the enhancement of disability welfare.
The Disabled Bus Fare Support project is a Seoul city initiative that supports transfer fares on Seoul buses and connected metropolitan area (Gyeonggi, Incheon) buses up to 50,000 KRW per month.
Disabled persons with severe disabilities can receive additional support of up to 100,000 KRW per month, including the bus fare for one accompanying guardian.
The support targets disabled persons aged 6 and over with a Seoul address, with approximately 17,000 eligible applicants in Yangcheon-gu. However, those who have already received transportation support from central government agencies or other Seoul city programs are excluded.
The bus fares prepaid through existing disabled preferential transportation cards or disability welfare cards are settled monthly and automatically refunded to the applicant’s bank account in their name.
The district will begin accepting applications year-round from July 24. Those wishing to apply should bring their ID and a copy of the bankbook for the refund account to a nearby community service center or apply online via the ‘Seoul Disabled Bus Fare Support’ website.

Lee Gijae, Mayor of Yangcheon-gu, stated, “Ensuring mobility rights for disabled persons is the starting point for expanding social participation and enhancing welfare. We will do our best to establish a detailed welfare and living infrastructure for socially vulnerable groups.”
