Gyoyukwon Gongjehoe Donates 50 Million Won in Emergency Relief Funds for Heavy Rain Damage
The Korea Teachers' Credit Union announced on the 19th that it donated 50 million KRW to the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association to aid in recovery efforts and support flood victims affected by the nationwide heavy rains.
The Credit Union joined the donation effort to contribute to the restoration of affected areas amid the ongoing expansion of damage caused by record-breaking heavy rains and floods. The funds will be used for rebuilding the affected regions and providing food supplies and daily necessities to flood victims.
Continuing its social contribution activities, the Credit Union had proactively donated 50 million KRW in June to support disaster-vulnerable groups in preparation for the summer season. Considering the severity of the recent flood damage, it has decided to provide additional emergency relief funds.
Kim Sang-gon, Chairman of the Korea Teachers' Credit Union, said, “We cannot begin to imagine the sorrow of those affected by the heavy monsoon rains nationwide,” adding, “We hope that recovery work will be completed as soon as possible to prevent further damage and that the flood victims can return to their daily lives promptly.”
