The County Governor Guarantees the Quality of 'Boseong Green Tea'
Securing Consumer Trust Through Quality Certification Evaluation
Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it held the ‘Boseong Green Tea County Quality Certification Review Meeting’ on the 14th at Botjae Hall on the 2nd floor of Botjae.
On this day, 10 expert judges specializing in the evaluation of Boseong green tea county quality certification participated, conducting a sensory evaluation using the five senses on five categories: the appearance of the tea, the color of the brewed tea, aroma, taste, and the brewed leaves.

View original imageThe evaluation included 30 products submitted by 26 tea manufacturing and processing companies in Boseong-gun, and as a result of strict quality assessment, 26 products from 23 companies received the county quality certification.
To pass the review, a score of 80 or above out of 100 points must be obtained, and a quality certification certificate is issued. Certified products can be sold with the county quality certification mark attached.
Now in its 15th year of implementation, the ‘County Quality Certification System’ targets only green tea produced in Boseong, enhancing external competitiveness by securing consumer trust through safe quality management of Boseong green tea.
Above all, by presenting standards that allow consumers to choose safe and high-quality premium green tea, it plays a significant role in raising the reputation and brand value of Boseong green tea.
Kim Gyu-woong, Vice Governor and Chairman of the Boseong Green Tea County Quality Certification Review Committee, said, “Maintaining the quality of premium Boseong green tea is the way to be loved by consumers, so we will take this heavy responsibility seriously and strive for post-quality management and technological development.”
