LG Electronics Begins Support Activities for Flood Damage Recovery in Chungcheong Region
Activities in Osong-eup, Cheongju, Chungbuk and Goesan-gun

LG Electronics announced on the 18th that it has started recovery support activities for the Chungcheong region affected by heavy rain.
On the 16th, they set up flood damage service bases at the Osong-eup Administrative Welfare Center in Heungdeok-gu, Cheongju-si, Chungbuk, and the Buljeong-myeon Administrative Welfare Center in Goesan-gun, and began recovery activities. On the 17th, they operated at the Gongju Women's Long-term Youth Shelter in Chungnam. Regardless of product or manufacturer, they check the condition of flooded electronic devices and perform cleaning, repairs, and parts replacement. Depending on the spread of the affected areas, they plan to expand the service regions.
LG Electronics service managers set up a flood damage service base at the Happy Welfare Center in Osong-eup, Heungdeok-gu, Cheongju-si, Chungbuk, on the 16th and began recovery activities.

They also provide a 'visiting service' where service managers visit affected households. They inform residents of safety precautions necessary to prevent secondary damage to flooded appliances. If flooded appliances are disassembled arbitrarily or used without being completely dried, the products may be damaged and safety accidents such as electric shocks may occur.

LG Electronics has been conducting recovery activities during natural disasters. Jung Yeon-chae, Vice President and Head of the Customer Value Innovation Division at LG Electronics, said, "As a member of corporate citizenship, we are considering various ways to help neighbors affected by the flood," adding, "We will do our utmost to provide practical assistance while monitoring the flood situation."
