A 2.4 Magnitude Earthquake in Hamanseo ... The Third in Gyeongnam This Year
At 10:37 a.m. on the 17th, an earthquake with a magnitude of 2.4 occurred near Ungok-ri, Chilwon-eup, Haman-gun, Gyeongnam Province.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the epicenter was located 16 km northeast by east, at 35.31 degrees north latitude and 128.58 degrees east longitude, with a depth of 13 km.

View original imageThis earthquake is the third to occur in Gyeongnam this year, following a magnitude 3.0 earthquake in Jinju on March 3 and a magnitude 2.0 earthquake in Masanhappo-gu, Changwon City on June 13.
So far, no damage from the earthquake has been reported, but there have been reports of shaking felt: one in Haman and three in Changwon, which is close to Haman.

The Korea Meteorological Administration advised, "People in the vicinity of the earthquake may feel the tremors," and urged everyone to "pay attention to safety."
