Lee Hak-su, Jeongeup Mayor, Orders "Thorough Safety Management Amid Heavy Rainfall"
Lee Hak-su, former mayor of Jeongeup City, Jeollabuk-do, presided over a video executive meeting on the 17th and instructed, "Thoroughly manage safety to minimize damage caused by heavy rain."
The mayor said, "Since heavy rain is forecast to continue, we must promote through various communication channels to prevent citizens from going to places with risk factors such as mountains or rivers," and emphasized, "Especially, thoroughly prepare to prevent accidents by maintaining places with high accident risks in advance."
Along with this, the mayor ordered an inspection for the smooth progress of the 8th term public pledge projects.
The mayor said, "If there are any underperforming projects among the 8th term public pledge projects, we need to find the reasons for the underperformance and solutions," and added, "At the start of the second year of the 8th term, regularly inspect the pledge projects to ensure they are implemented without problems."
He continued, "Due to the government's fiscal tightening policy and shortage of government revenue, securing next year's national funds is expected to be difficult," and added, "Establish a close cooperative system with related ministries so that the city's core projects can be reflected as much as possible."
Additionally, he ordered, "Prepare fund projects that donors participating in the Jeongeup Hometown Love Donation Program can feel rewarding and meaningful with a heart that loves Jeongeup."
