LF Holds the '1st Hazzys Design Contest'
Two Categories of '3D Design and Upcycling Design' Under the Theme of 'Green Design'
LF's flagship brand HAZZYS announced on the 17th that it will hold the ‘1st HAZZYS Design Contest’ for future generations.
HAZZYS is hosting a design contest under the theme of ‘Green Design’ innovation. The contest consists of two categories: ‘3D Design’ and ‘Upcycling Design,’ selecting 5 winners per category, totaling 10 winners. Anyone interested in fashion and design can participate regardless of age, gender, nationality, or major. Through this contest, HAZZYS plans to widely promote the value of ‘ethical fashion’ that considers the environment, while opening a platform where anyone can join the green design innovation and communicate with future generations.
Applications for the contest will be accepted online from today until August 6th via the contest page on HAZZYS.com. There are no specific assignments or standardized formats required for application; applicants simply need to submit a freely edited portfolio showcasing their design skills along with a self-introduction that includes their motivation for applying. The results of the document screening will be announced in the second week of August, and 10 participants will be selected through a non-face-to-face interview among the first-round candidates. Selected participants will be given a common assignment and will attend weekly offline meetups for about a month to complete their works. The ‘3D Design’ category involves creating digital works using 3D tools, while the ‘Upcycling Design’ category challenges participants to creatively transform HAZZYS’ inventory into new fashion items.
During the offline meetups, close mentoring will be provided by active designers and artists specializing in 3D and upcycling fields. Experts in fashion, design, and ESG such as Jeon Mi-kyung, CEO of Speaker, Park Won-jung, Ethics Director of Lush Korea, and Kim Kwang-il, Vice President of CLO, will serve as supporters and mentors for the selected participants and hold talk sessions. Additionally, all participants will receive a support fund of 1.5 million KRW each and HAZZYS product gifts. The final winners, one from each category, will be selected at the end of September based on internal evaluations, external expert reviews, and consumer online voting. Each winner will receive a prize of 10 million KRW along with opportunities for interviews with major fashion magazines, profile photo shoots, and showcasing their works.
