Seodaemun-gu, Full Effort to Restore and Reinforce Collapsed Retaining Wall Site in Yeonhui-dong
Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Lee Seongheon) mobilized two excavators and about 100 personnel on the 14th to carry out restoration and reinforcement work on a road in Yeonhui-dong (12 Hongjecheon-ro 2-gil), where a retaining wall collapsed due to consecutive heavy rains.
On the evening of the 13th, the retaining wall supporting the road weakened by the heavy rain collapsed, causing soil to spill out.
Immediately after the disaster, the district established an 'Integrated Disaster Support Headquarters' at the site and evacuated 47 residents from 20 nearby households to temporary shelters to prepare for any potential risks.
Additionally, waterproof sheets were placed over the collapsed area to prevent further collapse.
