hy announced on the 14th that it has signed a business agreement with the South-North Hana Foundation to promote a pilot project for the "Care of Elderly and Living-Alone North Korean Defectors" in order to strengthen the safety net for North Korean defectors.
The South-North Hana Foundation is a public institution under the Ministry of Unification that helps North Korean defectors settle stably through various projects. According to this agreement, hy will be responsible for delivering products and checking on the well-being of elderly and living-alone North Korean defectors. The target group consists of 600 defectors residing in the metropolitan area. hy’s own distribution organization, Fresh Manager, plans to deliver products while also checking on the recipients' well-being.

hy will regularly support not only health drinks but also its own food products that help stabilize the lives of North Korean defectors. Shim Jae-heon, director of the hy Social Welfare Foundation, said, "We aim to realize the founding philosophy of 'Building a Healthy Society' through healthy sharing practices with the local community," adding, "We will continue to assist North Korean defectors' settlement and the establishment of social networks through various activities."
