Mapo-gu (Mayor Park Gang-su) convened an emergency meeting of the Disaster Countermeasures Headquarters at 8:30 AM on the 14th to prepare for heavy rain.
Mayor Park Gang-su, along with about 20 headquarters personnel including the Water Management Division and Public Relations Media, monitored the local retention basins, rainwater pumping stations, and river conditions in real time via CCTV at the Disaster Prevention Center to check for any flood damage.
Mayor Park Gang-su instructed related departments, “Fortunately, no damage has been reported in Mapo-gu so far, but strictly control access to rivers swollen by sudden heavy rain.”
