Yongin City announced on the 14th that the briefing was organized as part of the city's preparatory work following the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's designation of autonomous vehicles, urban air mobility (UAM), and smart logistics as future core growth engines, and the establishment of the 'Mobility Innovation Roadmap' last September.
Through this project, Yongin City aims to set the direction for future mobility policies and prepare a comprehensive plan to support them.
The project is being undertaken by the Next-Generation Convergence Technology Institute and Shinmyeong M&C Co., Ltd., and will continue until June next year.
The plan is to conduct focused research on attracting government-led mobility pilot projects, discovering administrative services utilizing mobility, and creating a smart mobility pilot city by thoroughly analyzing government policy directions and industry status.
On the same day, Yongin City appointed 10 university professors and experts in the fields of smart mobility, autonomous driving technology, and general transportation as the 'Yongin City Mobility Advisory Group' and presented them with appointment certificates to provide policy advice in the mobility sector.
