"Well-fed and Growing Well on Colostrum"... Update on the 'Twin Pandas' with White Fur Spots
Photos and Videos Showing the Appearance at 6 Days Old
Everland, operated by Samsung C&T Resort Division, revealed the latest status of the country's first twin baby panda sisters born in Panda World on the 7th to the public on the 13th. They shared images of the twin pandas, now covered with fluffier white fur compared to when they were born.
On the same day, Everland posted related photos and videos on its social media accounts such as Instagram and TikTok. The content included scenes of the twin pandas being cared for by keepers in an incubator and sucking on milk bottles. A related video is scheduled to be uploaded to their YouTube channel in the evening.

Everland stated that the mother (Aibao) and the babies are in good health. They also explained that since it is difficult for the mother to care for both twin pandas simultaneously, keepers are supplementing with artificial feeding. When Aibao nurses one of the twins directly, the other is taken to the incubator where colostrum expressed from the mother is fed to the baby via a milk bottle. Artificial feeding is alternated so that the twin pandas receive equal love from their mother.

Pandas usually begin to show black markings inside the hair follicles where black fur will grow around 10 days after birth. By about one month old, distinct black markings appear around the eyes, ears, shoulders, arms, legs, and tail, giving them their characteristic panda appearance.
