Ainavi Systems Partners with HD Map Global Leader to Enter Autonomous Driving Market
Comprehensive Partnership Between DMP Group and
Domestic Autonomous Driving Services Based on Both Companies' Technologies
Inavi Systems, a mobility platform development subsidiary of Thinkware, announced on the 13th that it has signed a comprehensive partnership agreement with Dynamic Map Platform (hereinafter DMP), a global leader in HD maps, for joint business and technology development of autonomous driving HD maps. They plan to collaborate on global business not only in the domestic market but also in Asia, Europe, and North America.
Through this agreement, the two companies will jointly develop high-precision maps for autonomous driving level 2+ and above vehicles, as well as advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) maps, to provide autonomous driving and mobility solution services. Inavi Systems’ standard maps and updated location-based data necessary for detecting road changes will be combined with DMP’s HD maps to implement services based on autonomous vehicle applications. The integrated map will provide driving services with 15cm precision in areas where HD maps are available, and use SD ADAS maps in other regions. This will be supplied to automakers and mobility solution providers to offer upgraded platform services to customers. They also plan to develop digital twin modeling technology and collaborate on projects for smart cities domestically and internationally.
