A, who introduced themselves as the victim's younger sibling, said, "During a secondhand transaction of an unopened iPhone 14 Pro, the buyer who came to purchase the phone ran away with it," and added, "I never thought someone would do such a thing," while revealing CCTV footage of the fleeing buyer.
According to A, the victim's older brother tried to sell an unopened iPhone through a secondhand trading platform around 4:24 p.m. that day. The buyer, identified as a man estimated to be in his 30s, was Mr. B.
While inspecting the unopened iPhone, Mr. B suddenly asked for scissors, and while the victim went to find them, Mr. B took the item and ran away.
The CCTV footage inside the store released by A shows Mr. B wearing a black mask. The CCTV also captured the moment Mr. B turned his body and hurriedly ran out.

A reported the incident to the police and provided transaction details and other information.
A added, "I am posting this in case someone around that person might recognize him," and said, "If he sees this, he might turn himself in out of anxiety."
Netizens who saw the post commented, "In South Korea, where black boxes and CCTV are everywhere, such an incident happens in broad daylight," "Judging by the clothes, the culprit seems to be Mr. Lee," and "I don't know the reason, but turning yourself in quickly is the best option."
Meanwhile, the secondhand trading platform requires users to register their phone numbers upon signing up to prevent such incidents. Even if a user withdraws, the platform retains account information and payment and supply details for five years in accordance with relevant laws and privacy policies.
Furthermore, if a crime occurs, the platform provides necessary information such as phone numbers, transaction details, and account numbers for tracking to authorities through proper procedures, ensuring legal punishment for illegal acts.
