Xi Jinping Officially Invited Putin During His Visit to Russia Last March
Russia announced on the 12th (local time) that it is pushing for President Vladimir Putin's visit to China.

The last time President Putin visited China was in February last year, just before the invasion of Ukraine. At that time, President Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping declared an "unlimited cooperative partnership" between the two countries.
The meeting between President Xi and President Putin also took place after the Ukraine war began. President Xi visited Russia in March at Putin's invitation and pledged cooperation on issues concerning Taiwan and Ukraine.
President Putin's current push for a visit to China follows an official invitation from President Xi, who had visited Russia. Peskov said that President Putin and President Xi will discuss bilateral trade and economic cooperation, as well as global issues.
Meanwhile, regarding the major Group of Seven (G7) countries' efforts to provide security guarantees to Ukraine on the occasion of the NATO summit that opened the day before, Peskov criticized, calling it "wrong" and "potentially very dangerous," stating that it would "violate Russia's security."
