Saemaeul Geumgo Surpasses 12,000 Cases of Early Termination Savings and Deposit Reinvestment
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety and Saemaeul Geumgo announced on the 12th that the situation regarding Saemaeul Geumgo deposit withdrawals is stabilizing as a result of a joint inter-ministerial response.
As of the afternoon of the same day, the number of re-deposits for prematurely terminated savings and installment savings accounts exceeded 12,000 cases.
Previously, both organizations agreed that customers who prematurely terminated their Saemaeul Geumgo savings or installment savings between July 1 and July 6 and re-deposit by the 14th would maintain their original contracted interest rates and tax-exempt benefits to minimize customer losses due to early termination.
Re-deposit applications can be made at the nearest Saemaeul Geumgo branch, through internet banking, or via smart banking.
