Busan Office of Education Holds 'Education Policy Network Forum'
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education will hold the ‘2023 3rd Education Policy Network Education Policy Forum’ at 2 p.m. on the 13th at Signiel Busan in Haeundae-gu.
This forum is co-hosted by the Busan Office of Education, Ministry of Education, Korea Educational Development Institute, Daegu Office of Education, and the Education Policy Network, and organized by the Korea Educational Development Institute. Attendees include Ha Yun-su, Superintendent of Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, Kang Eun-hee, Superintendent of Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education, and Ryu Bang-ran, President of the Korea Educational Development Institute.
At the forum, they will share the vision, challenges, and tasks of local education preparing for a transition to future education and seek cooperation measures.
The forum, held under the theme ‘Leaping Local Education, Challenges and Tasks Toward the Future,’ will be divided into two parts.
In the first part, Superintendent Ha Yun-su will deliver a keynote speech titled ‘Making Dreams a Reality! Hopeful Busan Education.’ Superintendent Ha will present the vision and policy directions for Busan’s future education, including ▲academic achievement improvement ▲character education ▲elimination of educational disparities ▲building a ladder of hope ▲safety and communication ▲future education.
The second part will feature a dialogue among Superintendent Ha Yun-su, Superintendent Kang Eun-hee, and President Ryu Bang-ran. Through this dialogue, they plan to share the vision and directions of major educational policies in Busan, such as ‘Morning Change’ and ‘Academic Achievement Improvement through the Establishment of the Busan Academic Development Institute.’
The Busan Office of Education explained that this forum is expected to play a significant role in conveying the direction and vision of education policies for future preparation to the public and in concretizing future policy formulation and implementation directions.
