Samsung Electronics introduces a camera-based food recognition feature powered by artificial intelligence (AI) technology in its 'Bespoke Oven.'
Starting from the 12th, Samsung Electronics announced that it will roll out a software update supporting the camera food recognition feature for the 'View Camera' Bespoke Oven (model: MC35A8899), which is equipped with an internal camera.

View original imageWhen food is placed inside and the door is closed, the AI vision recognition technology identifies the type and quantity of ready-to-eat meals and automatically sets the optimal cooking algorithm. It can recognize a total of about 10 types of foods, including instant rice, frozen pizza, hot dogs, donkatsu, and croissants, with plans for continuous expansion in the future.
The Bespoke Oven is an all-in-one product that performs not only the oven’s unique functions but also air fryer, grill, and microwave functions all in one place. It is useful for home baking, steaming dishes, drying, and fermentation.
▲Remote adjustment of the oven’s mode·temperature·and time through 'Camera Monitoring' ▲'Scan Cook' that scans barcodes of ready meals and sends appropriate cooking settings to the oven ▲'Customized Cooking' feature offering recipes for 218 different menus, making delicious cooking even easier. Additionally, the 'Customized Defrost Plus' feature is applied, allowing faster and more even defrosting precisely tailored to the type and weight of ingredients.
The Bespoke Oven equipped with 'Camera Food Recognition' comes in two colors: Evening Coral and Morning Blue, with a retail price of 940,000 KRW.
