A story of a man safely rescuing a child hanging from a balcony railing in an apartment in China has been praised by local netizens.
According to the Hong Kong media South China Morning Post (SCMP) on the 10th (local time), Wang Jun, a ride-sharing worker living on the 13th floor of an apartment in Jiangsu Province, China, was preparing dinner with his wife and daughter.
However, his wife screamed as she went to the balcony to collect the laundry. Hearing his wife's voice, Wang rushed to the balcony and witnessed a boy hanging from the balcony above.
The child had woken up from a nap and gone out to the balcony while the family was out, nearly falling down. The child was barely holding on to the railing, in a critical situation where he could fall at any moment.

While Wang was helping the child, a grandmother from the neighboring apartment reported the situation to the rescue team. Eventually, rescuers who arrived at the scene were able to safely rescue the child hanging from the railing.
Upon learning of this news, local authorities awarded Wang's family and the grandmother with a Brave Citizen Award.
Local netizens who heard the story also praised Wang's actions, saying, "A role model neighbor," and "Deserving of the Brave Citizen Award."
