Gokseong Gallery 107 Hosts Calligraphy Solo Exhibition by Yoon Nam-yeol Ungok
Showcasing 69 Works Expressed in a Flexible Typeface
Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Sangcheol Lee) announced that the solo calligraphy exhibition of Yoon Nam-yeol will be held from the 13th to the 26th at Gallery 107 and Street Gallery 4-dong.
This exhibition is Yoon Nam-yeol's first solo exhibition, showcasing 69 works that interpret instructive passages from ancient books in the artist's unique flexible calligraphy style.
Artist Yoon said, "While preparing for the solo exhibition, I wanted to create an opportunity to look back on the footprints I have made with the brush so far. I sincerely thank the residents for appreciating the meaning and content of the works with great generosity, and all those who support me along with their families."
Yoon Nam-yeol resides in Samgi-myeon, Gokseong, and studied under Master Il-sok Oh Myung-seop.
Currently, he serves as the Chairman of the National Founder Dangun Gokseong Reverence Association, an advisor to Hyangmukhoe, a member of the Korea Fine Arts Association, and is an invited artist for the National Chunhyang Art Exhibition, the Korea Namnong Art Exhibition, the Gwangju Metropolitan City Art Exhibition, and the Sungkyunkwan Yurim Art Exhibition.
Gallery 107 is located at 107-1 Jungang-ro, Gokseong-eup, Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do. During the exhibition period, it is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with free admission.
