Jungnang-gu Supports Disabled Persons with Bus Fare Up to 50,000 Won per Month
Bus Fare Support for Residents with Disabilities Aged 6 and Over in Seoul... Seoul Bus, Gyeonggi & Incheon Bus Fare Support
Pre-application from July 17 to July 24
Jungnang-gu (District Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) announced that it will accept applications for the ‘Bus Fare Support Project for People with Disabilities’ starting in July to help improve mobility convenience for people with disabilities in the district and reduce their economic burden related to transportation.
Residents of Seoul with disabilities aged 6 and over can receive bus fare support of up to 50,000 KRW per month. For people with severe disabilities, the benefit also extends to one accompanying guardian.
The bus fare support covers fares for Seoul buses and transfer fares for Gyeonggi and Incheon buses only. The fare is first paid using an existing preferential transportation card or a Disability Integrated Welfare Card, and then reimbursed to the applicant’s designated bank account.
The pre-application period is from July 17 to July 24. Applications can be submitted by visiting the community service center or online through the ‘Bus Fare Support Management System’ website. However, for in-person applications at the community service center, a 5-day rotation system based on the last digit of the birth year is applied.
The bus fare support program will be implemented starting in August. Applications can be submitted at any time from August onward.
