They toured and experienced various training facilities within the aviation training center, such as the integrated control room, emergency evacuation practice rooms for A330 and B737 aircraft models, emergency exit practice rooms, fire suppression practice rooms, and service practice rooms.
ICAO is an international organization under the UN, equipped with institutions with practical authority such as the General Assembly and the Council above the permanent secretariat. The Air Navigation Commission, a subordinate committee, is responsible for the establishment and revision of international standards and recommended practices uniformly applied worldwide in the aviation sector. Korea is a member state and a council member of ICAO.
The aviation training center introduced by T'way Air to ICAO officials that day is the first low-cost carrier (LCC) to obtain approval as an Approved Training Organization (ATO) from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and operate its own safety training center. Opened in 2020, it is equipped with the latest training facilities related to safety and service. The T'way Air cabin crew training instructors conducting the training also hold professional instructor qualifications in first aid, aviation security, dangerous goods, and crew resource management (CRM).
T'way Air provides training center facilities to other LCCs so that they can conduct outsourced and in-house training. It also practices the value of 'coexistence and cooperation' by running a cabin crew job experience program called 'Crew Class' for students majoring in aviation-related fields and external participants.
