July 4-7: The 1st World Korean Scientists and Engineers Convention held at Korea Science and Technology Center in Gangnam-gu
On July 5, Cho Seong-myeong, Mayor of Gangnam-gu, attended the opening ceremony of the '1st World Korean Scientists and Engineers Convention' held at the Korea Science and Technology Center (22 Teheran-ro 7-gil, Gangnam-gu).
The '1st World Korean Scientists and Engineers Convention,' held from July 4 to 7 at the Korea Science and Technology Center, is an event for the exchange and sharing of research achievements among 3,000 Korean scientists and engineers worldwide, including those from overseas as well as domestic participants.

Prior to this, in May, Cho Seong-myeong, Mayor of Gangnam-gu, met with Lee Tae-sik, President of the Korea Federation of Science and Technology Societies, to discuss mutual cooperation for establishing a science and technology-focused tech valley on Teheran-ro in Gangnam and linking industrial innovation through science and technology, taking advantage of the '1st World Korean Scientists and Engineers Convention' held in Gangnam.
