KOSHA Hosts Presentation Contest on Best Practices for Safety and Health Win-Win Cooperation Among Large, Medium, and Small Enterprises
The Ministry of Employment and Labor hosted, and the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA, President An Jong-joo) organized, the “Excellent Cases Presentation Contest for Win-Win Safety and Health Cooperation Activities among Large, Medium, and Small Enterprises” on the 4th at KINTEX in Ilsan, in celebration of the 2023 Industrial Safety and Health Month.

View original imageWin-win cooperation activities are led by capable large enterprises participating in KOSHA’s “Win-Win Safety and Health Cooperation Project among Large, Medium, and Small Enterprises,” aiming to improve the safety and health levels of numerous partner companies and local small and medium enterprises and to close the gap between them. This year, 317 parent companies (with 3,340 partner companies) are participating in KOSHA’s win-win cooperation project.
For this presentation contest, 28 workplaces nationwide applied, and six workplaces selected through preliminary rounds presented excellent cases of safety and health win-win cooperation activities at their sites.
As a result of the contest, the Minister of Employment and Labor Award (Grand Prize) was awarded to “Samsung Electronics DS Division” located in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province.
Samsung Electronics DS Division received excellent evaluations for the management’s commitment to win-win cooperation activities, active support such as consulting matching to improve the safety and health levels of partner companies, and other proactive win-win cooperation efforts.
The President of KOSHA Award, the highest award, was given to “SK Telecom” and the Busan plant of “Dongguk CM,” while the Excellence Award went to three places: “Yongma Logistics,” “Dongseo Power” Dangjin Thermal Power Headquarters, and “LG Electronics” Changwon Plant 2, each receiving a prize of 500,000 KRW.
This presentation contest was conducted as a hybrid event integrating online and offline formats, and on-site videos were provided in real-time through the dedicated Industrial Safety and Health Month website.
