The dementia patient shelter program "Precious My Memory" was conducted to improve the physical health and cognitive function of dementia patients registered at the Dementia Safety Center through activities such as △coloring book education △Komjilak mind care education △craft classes for hand stimulation △Silver Hula Dance for muscle strength enhancement.
Also, the "Brain Strong Dementia Prevention Class" and the "Dudumchit Dementia Prevention Class" were held once a week, providing various educational sessions that help reduce dementia risk factors and promote healthy lifestyle habits for dementia prevention.
In particular, for families exhausted from caring for dementia patients, the center operated the "Hearing" family class, the "Eoullim" self-help group, and healing programs, providing correct dementia patient care information and rest, which received great responses.
A representative of the Jindo-gun Dementia Safety Center said, "We recognize that dementia is no longer a disease only for the elderly, and to prevent dementia, regular checkups and healthy lifestyle habits must be cultivated," adding, "We will continue to operate various programs for dementia prevention and strive to create a healthy Jindo."
