Development of IoT-Based Remote Access Devices and Solar Power Generation Systems
304 Billion KRW Investment and Creation of 40 Jobs Planned by 2026
On the 3rd, Gumi City in Gyeongbuk signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for investment with Kim Kwon-jin, CEO of Apex Intech, along with the city council chairman, vice mayor, and heads of institutions and organizations at the International Trade Cooperation Office of the city hall.
Through this investment agreement, Apex Intech plans to invest a total of 30.4 billion KRW by 2026 and hire 40 new employees to establish a continuous leakage monitoring system for IoT-based road lighting equipment and to develop and produce solar power generation devices. By introducing a remote inspection system, they aim to acquire real-time safety information of electrical facilities to protect citizens' safety and property from fires or accidents.
Additionally, they plan to actively invest in the development of eco-friendly products related to renewable energy and energy saving, including solar power generation devices, smart streetlights, smart security lights, and smart poles.
Founded in 1997, Apex Intech is a small but strong company leading the domestic road lighting industry, producing LED lights, LED landscape lighting, solar streetlights, and solar security lights. Their self-developed LED floodlights are actively installed in domestic ports, airports, railway tower lighting, and sports facilities.
Recently, the company has been focusing on solar power generation projects related to renewable energy and the development of energy storage systems, growing into an energy company with a unique position.
