MegazoneCloud Holds Strategy Seminar on ChatGPT Utilization with Korea Microsoft
Amid growing interest in generative artificial intelligence (AI), a ChatGPT utilization strategy seminar was held. Discussions focused on utilization methods from a corporate perspective, as well as actual business application cases and their effects.
On the 30th, Megazone Cloud, together with Microsoft Korea and PwC, hosted the 'Azure OpenAI-based Enterprise ChatGPT Utilization Strategy' seminar at the Grand Ballroom of Signiel Hotel in Jamsil.
Jung Woo-jin, CEO of Megazone Cloud DigitalX1 and the first presenter at the seminar, assessed, "While there is considerable social caution and watchful waiting surrounding ChatGPT, generative AI has already entered the full-scale adoption and utilization phase in corporate settings."

In Korea, cases of adopting ChatGPT are increasing in areas such as marketing and sales, customer service operations and management, IT development, and research to improve productivity and efficiency."
He added, "Until now, new technologies typically followed a pattern of adoption starting in IT, then moving to manufacturing, distribution and service industries, financial sectors, and finally the public sector with some delay. However, ChatGPT shows a significant difference in that it is spreading simultaneously across all sectors, including the public sector, despite being in its early release stage."
Kim Hye-rim, Director at PwC Strategy&, stated, "Unlike the metaverse, which surged rapidly and then stagnated, Gartner predicts that generative AI will reach its peak expectation within 2 to 5 years. Just as Windows lowered the entry barriers of technology that was previously confined to specialized fields during the early days of PC adoption, ChatGPT will also rapidly become popular by lowering these barriers."
Director Kim introduced ChatGPT application cases from leading companies across various industries such as finance, education, and travel. She also evaluated, "Many companies are moving beyond partial adoption approaches and are visibly transitioning their entire company systems to GPT-native."
The second session continued with an introduction to major AI technologies by Microsoft Korea. Speakers Lee Geon-bok, Developer Lead, and Cho Seung-min, Cloud Solution Architect, explained key AI technology innovations unveiled at Microsoft Build 2023. They particularly emphasized the importance and methods of utilizing large-scale AI models in developing enterprise solutions such as applications.
Lee said, "Generative AI is one of the critical factors determining an organization's productivity and capabilities, and the performance gap between organizations that utilize it and those that do not will be stark. Microsoft is committed to safe and responsible AI development and use, and through technologies like Azure OpenAI, we aim to foster growth across our customers and partner ecosystems."
Among domestic companies, Kim Hoon-dong, Executive Director at Emart, which has been a pioneer in adopting ChatGPT in actual business operations, evaluated, "By integrating pre-ChatGPT language AI with the latest ChatGPT, we were able to mitigate side effects such as outdated information limits and hallucinations while leveraging the advantages. We confirmed the potential to demonstrate value even in critical business areas by complementing known limitations through a hybrid approach."
Lee Joo-wan, CEO of Megazone Cloud, said, "With the emergence of ChatGPT, interest in generative AI utilization in corporate settings is high. We are pleased to hold the first seminar with Microsoft Korea to evaluate actual application cases and effects and discuss utilization strategies. We hope that the discussions today will serve as reference materials for domestic companies in establishing generative AI utilization strategies."
