Hana Bank MyData Service, First in Banking Sector to Obtain ISMS-P Certification
Hana Bank's MyData (personal credit information management) service 'Hana Hap' has become the first in the banking sector to obtain the country's most prestigious Information Security Management System certification.
On the 30th, Hana Bank announced that it had acquired the Financial Security Institute's 'Nationally Certified Information Security and Personal Information Protection Management System (ISMS-P) certification' in the MyData service sector, the first among banks.
ISMS-P is the highest authority integrated certification system for information security and personal information protection management jointly announced by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Personal Information Protection Commission. It requires passing a rigorous examination by the Financial Security Institute on 80 certification criteria in the information security management system area and 22 certification criteria in the personal information protection area.
Meanwhile, prior to obtaining the ISMS-P certification for the MyData service, Hana Bank had already acquired the ISMS-P certification for digital banking services, the first domestic international standard certification (ISO27001) for global regional centers, and the international standard personal information protection (ISO27701) certification.

A representative from Hana Bank's Information Security Department said, "At a time when fair competition and collaboration in the MyData business across different industries are necessary, obtaining the first ISMS-P certification in the banking sector has externally and internally proven the stability of our information security and personal information protection management system," adding, "We will strive to continuously provide hyper-personalized financial services based on customer trust."
