Boseong-gun Supports Returning Farmers with Agricultural Startups and Housing Purchase Assistance

Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it will promote the ‘2023 Second Half Support Project for Returning Farmers’ Agricultural Start-up and Housing Purchase’ to ensure the stable settlement of returning farmers in rural communities.
This project is a fully loan-based program, allowing applications for agricultural start-up funds up to 300 million KRW in up to 4 installments, and housing purchase funds up to 75 million KRW in up to 2 installments.
The interest rate can be chosen between a fixed rate of 1.5% per annum or a variable rate, with a loan period of 5 years grace and 10 years repayment.
Applicants must be household heads aged 65 or younger (born after January 1, 1957), who have lived in urban areas for more than one year and have moved to rural areas within the past 5 years as non-farmers. Additionally, completion of at least 100 hours of returning farming and agricultural education is mandatory.
Those wishing to apply should bring the required documents and submit their application at the town or township office by June 30.
Boseong-gun plans to select recipients through in-depth interviews based on evaluation criteria such as the appropriateness and feasibility of the project plan, motivation for farming settlement, and adequacy of the loan repayment plan.
Meanwhile, Boseong-gun is also promoting support projects such as settlement incentives for returning farmers, repair cost support for returning farmers’ farmhouses, and education expense support to help returning and relocating farmers settle stably in agriculture.
