Open every Tuesday to Sunday, available to all Jungnang-gu residents
Three water playgrounds in Jungnang-gu that will cool down the heat of the hot summer are opening.
The district announced that the Jungnang-gu Facilities Management Corporation will begin operating Seoul Jungnang Water Park, Sinnae Park, and Bongsudae Park water playgrounds starting July 4.
Seoul Jungnang Water Park, Sinnae Park, and Bongsudae Park water playgrounds are facilities available to all Jungnang-gu residents and will operate every Tuesday through Sunday from July 4 to August 20.
Located on the riverside upstream of Jangan Bridge, ▲Seoul Jungnang Water Park spans a total area of 6,550㎡ and features a large outdoor swimming pool, water play fountains, Mongolian tent shade shelters, showers, and changing rooms. Additional shaded areas have been installed so visitors can escape the heat. Water play is divided into two sessions: the first from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM, and the second from 2:00 PM to 6:30 PM.
The Sinnae Park water playground, located in Bonghwasan Onggi Theme Park, offers various water play facilities such as a water playground where children can run freely and a water basket, along with temporary showers and changing rooms.
The Bongsudae Park water playground is situated at the entrance of Bonghwasan behind Jungnang-gu Office. It features a water playground and a stream, allowing not only children but also hikers visiting Bonghwasan to cool off by dipping their feet.
Sinnae Park and Bongsudae Park water playgrounds are free to use daily from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Additionally, safety personnel will be stationed at all water playgrounds to ensure residents can enjoy the facilities safely.
Ryu Gyeong-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, “We hope residents can cool down and enjoy themselves close to the city center.”
