Daegu Hosts Future Promising 'Brain Industry Forum' ... US Stanford Professor Jin-Hyung Lee Attends
Daegu City will hold the "2023 Forum for Revitalizing the Brain Industry" on the 27th at Keimyung University Dongsan Hospital, hosted by the Keimyung University Brain Research Institute (Director Professor Jo Yong-won), under the theme of the past, present, and future of brain science.
This forum was organized to share the latest research achievements in brain science fields such as epilepsy and dementia, which are core technologies of the brain industry leading the future, the importance of digital brain health management, and to understand the changes in the era of the brain industry while preparing useful information and opinions for the future brain industry.

View original imageDaegu City prepared the forum to re-examine the current status of brain science in the Daegu region, establish future brain industry development plans, and to raise public interest and encourage participation in the local community.
About 150 people, including local governments, academia, medical professionals, startup companies, research support organizations, and brain-related experts, are expected to attend the event, and it is open to the general public interested in the brain field.
The event will proceed under the theme "The Past, Present, and Future of Brain Science - Digital Brain Health Management," with each speaker presenting their topic followed by discussions and Q&A sessions.
Professor Lee Sang-geon (Neurology) from Seoul National University College of Medicine will present on "The Past and History of Brain Science," Professor Jo Yong-won (Neurology) from Keimyung University Dongsan Hospital will discuss "The Present and Clinical Applications of Brain Science," and Professor Lee Jin-hyung from Stanford University, who is also the CEO of Elvis, a promising brain startup in Silicon Valley, USA, will speak on "The Future of Brain Science and Digital Brain Health." During the subsequent discussion, panelists including Lee Eun-hee, Head of Advanced Technology Department at Daegu Gyeongbuk Medical Innovation Foundation, and Kim Dong-gi, Director at Daegu Digital Industry Promotion Agency, will participate.
Daegu City plans to continuously reflect and improve brain industry revitalization policies by collecting expert opinions presented at the forum.
