Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants Holds Regular General Meeting... "Actively Participating in Enhancing Accounting Transparency"
The Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants announced on the 22nd that it held the 69th regular general meeting.
At the event held the previous afternoon, Kim Young-sik, president of the KICPA, stated, "Certified public accountants will play a greater role in achieving 'VISION 2030,' which upholds accounting transparency leading national competitiveness. We will actively participate in national policies, including efforts to enhance accounting transparency not only in the for-profit sector but also in the non-profit sector." He added, "As a professional organization fulfilling public responsibilities, the KICPA will further strengthen its public functions and urges auditors to continue practicing rigorous audits in accordance with strict professional ethics."

At the regular general meeting, Jang Hyung-soo, a certified public accountant from Anjin Accounting Corporation, was elected as the new auditor, and the previous year's settlement of accounts as well as the business plan and budget for the 2023 fiscal year were reported.
