Boseong-gun and Yeosu Hyangilam Bukbu Nonghyup Sign Business Agreement
Annual Rice Donations for Vulnerable Groups, Spreading a Culture of Sharing
On the 19th, Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it signed a public-private cooperation agreement for local resource goods sponsorship with Hyangilam of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism and Bukbu Nonghyup at the small conference room on the 2nd floor of the Boseong-gun Office.
Under this agreement, Hyangilam of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism will sponsor 100 bags of rice (10kg each) annually and provide one bag (10kg) each month to two low-income households. Bukbu Nonghyup plans to sponsor 100 bags of rice (10kg each) in both the first and second halves of each year.

This cooperation agreement will continue until further consultation, and Boseong-gun plans to select vulnerable groups and social welfare facilities in need within the jurisdiction every year and provide sponsorship in connection with the Jeollanam-do Community Chest of Korea.
Kim Cheol-woo, the governor of Boseong-gun, said, “We are grateful to Hyangilam of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism and Bukbu Nonghyup for helping neighbors in need within Boseong-gun.” He added, “We are pleased to establish a closer mutual cooperation and exchange with Boseong-gun through this agreement.”
Ven. Yeon-gyu, the head monk of Hyangilam of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism, stated, “We will continue to support the vulnerable groups in Boseong-gun with the Buddha’s compassion and love.”
Chae Hee-jung, the head of Bukbu Nonghyup in Boseong, said, “We will strive to contribute to the local economy of Boseong-gun through continuous sharing, not just today.”
