Uljin-gun Recruiting Companies and Interns for Small and Medium Enterprise Regular Employee Project... Employment Support and Retention Incentives of 3 Million Won Each Provided
Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk Province (Governor Son Byeong-bok) is extending the recruitment period for companies and interns participating in the "2023 Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Regular Employee Project" to support employment for SMEs facing hiring difficulties and employment-challenged groups such as unemployed youth and marriage immigrants, from the original deadline of June 30 to November 30.
The "SME Regular Employee Project" provides SMEs with employment subsidies of 1.5 million KRW per month for two months per hired intern. Participating interns who convert to regular employees after a two-month internship will receive a total retention incentive of 3 million KRW, paid twice at the 3rd and 10th month of employment.
Companies wishing to participate must qualify as SMEs under the Framework Act on Small and Medium Enterprises and be able to pay employees a monthly salary of at least 2.02 million KRW. Participation is restricted for workplaces with overdue employment insurance payments, companies with seasonal or temporary labor demand under three months, businesses managed by relatives such as direct ascendants/descendants or spouses, and companies without industrial sites.
Intern participants must be employment-challenged individuals such as unemployed youth or marriage immigrants residing in Uljin-gun. Those currently working at the project site before job placement by the county, military service special cases, or those who have previously completed the internship period under the SME Regular Employee Project are not eligible to participate.
Participation can be arranged by Uljin-gun matching interested companies and interns, or companies may directly select interns and participate after the county verifies qualifications.
