Seongbuk-gu (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) will conduct a digital capacity-building course titled ‘Catching Up with Digital Trends’ for local women from the 12th to the 16th.

The course consists of a total of 20 hours of specialized digital education and is operated by the Women’s Central Association, which was selected through the 2023 Seongbuk-gu Women’s Organization Support Project.

The program is designed as professional training covering digital transformation, data management, Google Calendar, Chat GPT, and more, aimed at women aspiring to find jobs or change careers. After the training, professional employment counselors will also provide job counseling and career planning support.

The Women’s Central Association, which operates the program, was founded in 1953 and has been recognized for its continuous efforts to create jobs for women and improve their rights, receiving the Minister of Employment and Labor Award in 2022.

Based on this experience, 13 participants were selected through preliminary interviews for this digital capacity-building program.

Lee Seung-ro, Mayor of Seongbuk-gu, stated, “In the era of digital transformation, we aim to strengthen digital competitiveness so that our women can proactively respond to the demands of the changing labor market and industrial sites. We will strive to develop talent and actively discover capable women’s organizations working in various fields to support their activities for the local community.”

Seongbuk-gu opened the Seongbuk Women’s Employment Education Center in September last year. The center develops vocational skills and operates various employment and start-up programs to expand women’s economic activities and social participation.
