The event is designed to reduce plastic usage during travel. Travelers who visit the refill shop (Almaeng Store) located at Seoul Station and verify their train tickets departing in June will receive a 5,000 KRW coupon. The coupon is issued on the Korea Tourism Organization’s official website, KoreaTourism.kr, and can be used once per person.
Participants can use the coupon to refill wash products such as shampoo and facial cleanser or detergents into their own personal containers prepared in advance. If they have not prepared a personal container, they can choose to receive either a reusable straw set or a bamboo toothbrush set.
The organization explained that the event was planned with the intention of reducing waste by encouraging travelers to reuse their existing containers. Detailed instructions on how to participate in the event can be found on the "Dare to Travel!" page within the event section of the KoreaTourism.kr website.
