Softcen Discusses Secondary Battery Equipment Supply at InterBattery Europe
Softcen, which is developing a new business in secondary battery inspection equipment, announced on the 8th that it is promoting discussions on supplying X-ray inspection equipment with battery companies such as CATL and Europe's Northvolt, as well as BMW.
Softcen will participate in the battery business exhibition (INTERBATTERY EUROPE 2023) held in Munich, Germany from the 14th to the 16th, to actively promote secondary battery equipment marketing and build a global network. Since the second half of last year, Softcen has been intensifying its secondary battery equipment and X-ray inspection equipment business, recording orders worth approximately 7.6 billion KRW to date.
The company plans to hold consultations with global battery companies such as Europe's Northvolt, China's CATL, and European automaker BMW. The exhibition will be attended jointly with Korea's secondary battery equipment company SM ENG, expecting additional orders for secondary battery equipment and X-ray inspection equipment.
'INTERBATTERY EUROPE 2023' is a large-scale international exhibition held in Munich, Germany, featuring over 600 companies and attracting more than 85,000 visitors, making it the largest battery exhibition in Europe.

The EU's battery industry currently accounts for about 17% of the global market and is expected to increase to 26% by 2030. Softcen plans to showcase its products and technologies at the exhibition and establish local supply chains and partnerships within the EU. The strategy is to turn this into an opportunity to drive significant sales growth of secondary battery equipment and X-ray inspection equipment.
