According to the provincial education office, this year’s ‘Real-time Health Fitness Class’ will be conducted in collaboration with the National Fitness 100 Changwon Masan Member Fitness Certification Center, targeting a total of 182 schools: 84 elementary schools, 62 middle schools, and 36 high schools.
The classes will be held twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 3:40 PM to 4:10 PM and from 4:30 PM to 5:10 PM respectively.
The first semester will run for 7 weeks starting June 5, and the second semester for 7 weeks starting September 11. After satisfaction surveys and operational evaluations, the program plans to expand further next year.
Students can participate in the classes using various media such as beam projectors, personal computers, and tablets depending on each school’s situation.
The classes focus on improving fitness elements such as cardiopulmonary endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance, and agility.
Additionally, content to help restore health and fitness has also been produced and distributed.
Each session lasts a total of 40 minutes, and 14 sessions of content were completed earlier this year and made available on the provincial education office’s official YouTube channel, with guidance for elementary, middle, and high schools to utilize it in their Health Fitness Classes.
Building on the produced content, they plan to collaborate with National Fitness 100 to increase student engagement and produce short videos that help promote health improvement.
By November this year, about 40 materials will be created and distributed, and uploaded to the YouTube channels of the provincial education office and the Changwon Masan Member Fitness Certification Center.
