'Korean Literature Day' is an event planned to promote the value of Korean literature overseas in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Arts Council. With active support from the Mission, a Korean literature book exhibition and a special lecture by poet Na Tae-joo were held, receiving great response from local participants.
The exhibition, themed "A Literary Garden," featured 10 selected poetry books from the Arts Council's literature sharing book distribution project (including ', Ege', 'The Mirror Sees Me', 'Not Too Far', 'Catcalling', etc.) and three poetry collections by Na Tae-joo translated into Taiwanese ('I See You Like I See Flowers', 'Only Love Remains', 'Just Like Now'). The exhibition, composed of works that allow visitors to feel the beauty of Korean poetry, attracted high interest from Taiwanese readers.
The program that received the greatest response from the local audience was the special lecture by poet Na Tae-joo titled "My Request to My Poetry," according to the Arts Council. About 150 local readers and publishing officials participated in the lecture, proving the recent popularity of Korean literature in Taiwan.
