Lotte held a roadshow in Japan for the first time in six years to welcome the endemic (periodic outbreak of infectious diseases) era. This is the first time that not only Lotte Duty Free and Lotte Hotels but also Lotte Hotel Group HQ have jointly hosted an overseas roadshow. At the roadshow, Lee Wan-shin, CEO of Lotte Hotel Group HQ, took the lead in promoting Lotte's tourism infrastructure and also visited the Osaka Lotte Duty Free Kansai Airport branch to inspect the store environment, engaging in global on-site management.

Lotte Hotel Group HQ announced that it held a Japan roadshow with Lotte Hotels and Lotte Duty Free on May 30 and June 1 in Tokyo and Osaka to attract overseas tourists. At the roadshow held on the 30th at The Peninsula Tokyo, CEO Lee Wan-shin took the lead in welcoming and meeting with about 100 attendees, including travel agencies, online travel agencies (OTA), and portal representatives, overseeing the entire event. They promoted the brands of Lotte Hotels and Lotte Duty Free as well as tourism infrastructure, and collaborated with the Korea Tourism Organization and the Korean Cultural Center to promote Korea's famous tourist attractions to revitalize the Korean tourism industry. They also introduced package products that could be linked to these attractions.
On the 31st, CEO Lee visited the Osaka Lotte Duty Free Kansai Airport branch to inspect the store environment and engage in global on-site management. He said, "This roadshow was prepared to capture the increasing tourism demand after the endemic," adding, "We will continue to closely cooperate with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and its affiliated organizations to continuously showcase Korea's attractive cultural and tourism content."

Meanwhile, the roadshow in Japan resumed after about six years since 2017, when four Lotte Group affiliates?Lotte Duty Free, Lotte Hotels, Lotte Corporation, and Lotte World?jointly held it. Therefore, not only CEO Lee Wan-shin but also executives such as Kim Joo-nam, CEO of Lotte Duty Free, attended in large numbers. CEO Kim said, "We are exploring various ways to restore the competitiveness of the domestic tourism industry," and added, "In addition to roadshows held locally overseas, Lotte Duty Free plans to sequentially introduce various contents such as producing travel package products and hosting VIP invitation events targeting high purchasing power customers."
On June 1, a roadshow will be held in Osaka, inviting about 100 travel industry officials. According to the Korea Tourism Organization, about 350,000 Japanese tourists visited Korea in the first quarter of this year, an increase of more than 60 times compared to the same period last year. Sales to Japanese customers at Lotte Duty Free also increased by more than 240%.

Lotte Duty Free will intensify K-culture marketing targeting foreign customers who wish to visit Korea. They have planned a Korea travel package that allows customers to enjoy the Lotte Duty Free Family Concert, which will be held for three days starting on the 16th of this month. Through this, more than 5,000 multinational foreign tourists from Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Japan, China, and other regions are expected to visit Korea.
