Through this agreement, Lotte Mart aims to support small and medium-sized partner companies in obtaining the Environmental Product Declaration Certification free of charge and encourage these companies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions on their own. The Environmental Product Declaration Certification is a system overseen by the Ministry of Environment that provides consumers with information on the environmental impact of carbon emissions generated throughout the entire process of raw material extraction, production, distribution, use, and disposal of products and services, thereby promoting environmental improvement.
At the business agreement ceremony, Lotte Mart and the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute agreed to support small and medium-sized partner companies producing 10 products, including Lotte Mart’s own brand product, 'Oneul Joeun Peach Iced Tea,' in obtaining the Environmental Product Declaration Certification.
