Yeongam-gun Eases COVID-19 Restrictions and Supports Return to Normal Life
Take off the mask, keep the support as is
Yeongam-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Woo Seung-hee) has relaxed various quarantine policies, including the mandatory isolation of confirmed COVID-19 cases, and started supporting the restoration of daily life for residents as the COVID-19 crisis alert level is lowered from 'Severe' to 'Warning' starting next month on the 1st.
According to the county on the 31st, the relaxed quarantine policies include △ reducing the mandatory isolation period for confirmed cases from 7 days to a recommended 5 days (7 days for hospitalized patients and residents of infection-vulnerable facilities) △ switching to full indoor mask recommendation at clinics and pharmacies (mask-wearing remains mandatory in hospital-level medical institutions and infection-vulnerable facilities) △ ending the recommendation for PCR testing on the 3rd day after entry into the country △ allowing eating during visits to infection-vulnerable facilities and changing to recommended preemptive testing for workers.
In particular, the operation of public health center screening clinics for PCR testing focused on high-risk groups, free vaccination, free supply of COVID-19 therapeutics, support for hospitalized patient treatment costs, and provision of quarantine supplies to infection-vulnerable facilities will continue.
Cash support measures such as living support funds for households with income below 100% of the median income and paid leave expenses for workplaces with fewer than 30 employees will also be maintained to reduce the burden on residents.
As the isolation obligation changes to a recommendation, to apply for living support funds, prior application and registration for isolation participation at the public health center must be completed. Applications can only be made within one day after receiving a positive COVID-19 test notification.
