The Dongseo Foods Dream Library is a social contribution activity that donates books to elementary schools and improves library environments so that children, the future leaders, can nurture their dreams through reading. Starting with Sangsan Elementary School in Jincheon, Chungbuk in 2017, one local elementary school has been selected and supported each year.
This year, Gwangju Education University Attached Elementary School was selected as the supported school upon recommendation from the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education. Although the school actively operates various programs to support students' reading activities, it was known to have a shortage of books and bookshelves and outdated facilities.
Dongseo Foods donated about 3,000 new books and additionally provided new bookshelves and reading spaces, creating an environment where students can focus on reading in a more comfortable space.
