Yunjerim, the Forest of Communication located around Juwolsan in Gyeombaek-myeon, Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do, is receiving great love from travelers as a healing space.
Yunjerim boasts an area of nearly 1 million pyeong (337ha), and in June, 40,000 hydrangea plants, more abundant than last year, are about to bloom.

At the healing forest Yunjerim, visitors can enjoy forest bathing while inhaling phytoncides emitted by 60,000 Korean red pines and Japanese cypress trees planted in 1969. Although it has been free to enter so far, it is planned to switch to a paid system starting June 1 this year, considering the expansion of visitor convenience facilities.
Yunjerim offers a variety of activities as vast as its size. Paragliding experiences are available at the summit of Juwolsan, and Seongrimwon, designated as the 12th private garden of Jeollanam-do, is located there.
Also, the forest product picking experience for family visitors is very popular among children as they can feel and understand the forest while riding the monorail.
Yunjerim is also a forest recreation facility that can accommodate 300 people simultaneously, equipped with 15 forest camping decks, 12 forest houses, 18 arch houses, and 6 detached lodging facilities.
Meanwhile, Yunjerim started its afforestation project in 1964 and has been passed down through two generations. In 2020, it was designated as a “Forest Distinguished Family” by the Korea Forest Service. The Korea Forest Service designates families that manage forests exemplary across generations as “Forest Distinguished Families.”
