On May 23rd, a scholarship award ceremony was held at Songpa-gu Office attended by District Mayor Seo Gang-seok and Gwitgyeongseok, CEO of Gwitdunami Holdings. The donated scholarships will be provided to 38 students from low-income and challenging backgrounds within the district who continue their studies. Each of the 26 high school students will receive 1 million KRW, and each of the 12 college students will receive 2 million KRW.
Gwitdunami Group (Chairman Choi Jin-min) has conducted social contributions totaling 51 billion KRW over 38 years through the Gwitdunami Cultural Foundation and Gwitdunami Welfare Foundation, established by founder Chairman Choi Jin-min in 1985 with his private funds. Their efforts include ▲ scholarship programs ▲ academic research support ▲ educational institution support ▲ medical expense assistance ▲ heating support.
This scholarship support marks the first time Gwitdunami Group has provided scholarships to Songpa-gu.
Gwitgyeongseok, CEO of Gwitdunami Holdings, stated, “We hope this scholarship will serve as a solid foundation for Songpa-gu students to grow into future talents.”
